Guidelines for Visitors
Welcome to Winters State Preschool Center. We welcome visitors and are very glad to have you with us. During your time here we ask that you follow the Guidelines for Visitors. These have been established to ensure that student instruction is not disrupted and that the staff is not pulled from their primary duty working with students. Visitors must also complete the WJUSD/WSPC Visitor Requirements. Thank you for abiding by our guidelines and respecting the importance of our instructional program.
Guidelines for Visitors
- Please sign in and out on the Visitor Roster in the office.
- Cell phones turned off and put away during your visit.
- Only talk to students who are not working directly with a staff member.
- Please respect every student’s right to confidentiality.
- If you need to talk to a staff member, arrange to do so at a time outside the school day. Our instructional hours are 8:30-11:30am and 12:30-3:30pm.
- Conversations with other adults can be very disruptive to students. If you need to talk to another adult, please have that conversation outside.
- Please be sure to use appropriate language when working with the children.
- During your stay you will be asked to help supervise all the children. There are times that we may need you to help in other ways like setting up the outside play, setting up for activities, cleaning up outside play area and activity area to name a few. All these are very much appreciated by the staff.
- In the event of negative behavior when working with the children please bring it to a staff member’s attention. It is the staff member’s responsibility to handle the negative behavior.
Again we thank you for your visit and for respecting our guidelines. If you have any questions, please contact me at (530) 795-6311.
Sincerely,
Beatrice Jordan
